Scott Friend

Scott Friend is a Partner at Bain Capital Ventures, where he invests across Retail, Commerce, Marketing Technology, Application Software, and AI, with a focus on Seed through Growth-stage companies in the United States and Europe. He serves on the boards of Attentive, Mirakl, Rent the Runway, Archive, and FERMÀT, and has invested in companies like Attentive, Mirakl, Rent the Runway, ShipBob, and Wonder. Before Bain Capital Ventures, he was Vice-President, Marketing & Science and Chairman of the Retail Executive Advisory Council at Oracle Retail; Co-Founder & President of ProfitLogic; held a role at The Learning Sciences Corporation; was a Principal at The Parthenon Group; and worked in Sales at IBM. Scott holds degrees from Harvard Business School and Brown University, and lives in West Newton, Massachusetts.
