Teddy Himler is the Founder and Managing Partner of Optimist Ventures where he invests in Day 0, Seed and Series A stage startups across AI, FinTech, InsurTech, Healthcare, Industrial Automation, Robotics, and other sectors. The fund raised capital in October 2024 and invests globally with a focus on the United States, Southeast Asia, India, and MENAP. He has invested in companies like Grab, Tokopedia, Lemonade, Hippo, and Acorns. Before Optimist Ventures, he was a Partner at Antler, prior to which he was Vice President at SoftBank Group International and Principal at Comcast Ventures. He also worked as Vice President at SoftBank Group and as an Investment Banking Analyst in Technology, Media & Telecom at Goldman Sachs. Teddy graduated from Harvard University and lives in New York.
