James Flynn

James Flynn is Managing Partner at Deerfield Management, where he invests in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices, and healthcare companies in the United States across stages including Series A, Series B, Series D, venture rounds, and post-IPO debt. He has invested in companies like Elion Therapeutics, Jaguar Gene Therapy, Twill, ARTMS, and Infinity Pharmaceuticals. Before becoming Managing Partner at Deerfield, he was a Partner at the firm, and previously served as Managing Director at ING Barings, Vice President of Corporate Development at Alpharma, and Senior Vice President at Kidder Peabody. James studied at the University of Michigan and The Johns Hopkins University, and lives in New York.
