Scott Gottlieb

Scott Gottlieb is a Partner at New Enterprise Associates, where he invests in healthcare, life sciences, biopharma, digital health, and AI in healthcare across the United States (including the Washington, D.C. metro area and the Southern US) at stages ranging from seed and early stage through Series A, Series B, growth, and late-stage venture. He serves on the boards of Illumina, Pfizer, Tempus AI, Aetion, and Resilience, and has invested in companies including Xaira Therapeutics, Comanche Biopharma, Resilience, and Pathos. He previously served as the 23rd Commissioner of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, Deputy Commissioner for Medical and Scientific Affairs at the FDA, and Senior Adviser to the Administrator at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. Scott graduated from Wesleyan University and lives in Washington, DC.
