Jake Simson

Jake Simson is a Partner at RA Capital Management, L.P., where he invests across Seed, Series A–D, early-stage venture, private equity, post-IPO, and debt financings in healthcare and life sciences, including biotechnology, therapeutics, medical devices, diagnostics, research tools, oncology, and biomedical engineering. He is operating off a $150 million fund raised in July 2023 and invests in companies across the United States and North America, with activity across the East Coast, New England, and the Greater Boston Area. He has invested in companies like Vivace Therapeutics, Outpace Bio, Asher Bio, Septerna, and Tyra Biosciences. Before becoming a Partner at RA Capital, he served as Principal, Associate, and Analyst at the firm, and earlier was a PhD Candidate at the Johns Hopkins University Translational Tissue Engineering Center and held research roles at Pfizer, TiGenix, and Tissue Engineering Laboratories. Jake studied at The Johns Hopkins University and lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States.
