Before Liquid 2, he was an Affiliate Professor and Research Assistant Professor at the University of Washington, Founder and Chief Scientist at IBM Cloudant, Tier-0 Coordinator at CERN, and a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Mike earned a Ph.D. in Experimental Nuclear and Particle Physics from Yale University and a BS in Physics from Michigan State University, and lives in Seattle, Washington, United States.
