Maria Berkman, MD, MBA is a Partner at Vensana Capital where she invests in MedTech and healthcare, with a focus on medical devices. She invests from seed through growth stages across the United States and Israel. She serves on the boards of Alleviant Medical and AtaCor Medical, and has invested in companies including Vectorious Medical Technologies, Apama Medical, CardiAQ, Capricor Therapeutics, and Lyra Therapeutics. Vensana Capital raised $1 billion in 2019. Before Vensana, she was Head of MedTech/Director/Associate Director/Consultant at Broadview Ventures, Managing Director at Longview Ventures, an Engagement Manager at Monitor Deloitte, a Resident Physician at Mass General Brigham, and a Teaching Fellow at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Maria earned an MD from UCLA, an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management, and a BA from New York University, and lives in Boston, Massachusetts.
