Dorothy Margolskee

Dorothy Margolskee is a Managing Director at Foresite Capital Management, where she invests across life sciences and healthcare, including biotechnology, drug discovery, genomics, gene therapy, oncology, precision medicine, data science/AI, synthetic biology, and mental health. She invests from Foresite Capital’s $969 million fund raised in February 2021, across stages from seed and early venture through late stage, growth, and post-IPO equity. Her investing activity is primarily in the United States, including California (San Francisco, Menlo Park) and Massachusetts (Cambridge), as well as the Northeastern/East Coast (including the Greater Philadelphia Area). Foresite Capital investments include 10x Genomics, Mammoth Biosciences, Grail, Relay Therapeutics, and Tango Therapeutics. Before Foresite, she was a Managing Director and Senior Advisor at Prospect Venture Partners; earlier she held leadership roles at Merck Research Labs (including Senior Vice President, Project & Vaccine Integration), founded Synergee LLC, and trained clinically at UCSF (Fellow, Pulmonary Medicine) and Johns Hopkins Hospital (Resident). Dorothy was educated at Harvard University and the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and resides in Voorhees, New Jersey.
