Christy L Shaffer

Christy L. Shaffer is a General Partner at Hatteras Venture Partners, where she invests in life sciences and biopharma across biopharmaceuticals, medical devices, diagnostics, biotech, and healthcare. She invests across the United States, including the Research Triangle and East Coast, from angel and seed through Series A–D and later-stage venture. She serves on the boards of Trefoil Therapeutics, Clearside Biomedical, RTI International (Board of Governors), and the Museum of Life and Science, and has invested in companies like G1 Therapeutics, HistoSonics, Vigil Neuroscience, Trefoil Therapeutics, and Clearside Biomedical. Previously, she was Managing Director of Hatteras Discovery at Hatteras Venture Partners and served as Chair of the Board at Artizan Biosciences. She studied at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center and lives in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
