Jim Huston

Jim Huston is the Managing Partner at JH Climate Ventures, LLC, where he invests in climate tech and climate science and technology at the seed and early stage, including convertible notes, venture rounds, and debt financing. He focuses on companies in Oregon and across the Western United States. He serves or has served on the boards of Skip Technology (Board Observer), Onboard Dynamics, Inc. (Board Member; Sep 2017–Jul 2023), and Plover, Inc. (Board Observer; Feb 2019–Oct 2022), and has invested in companies like Drone Complier, Onboard Dynamics, and 4-Tell. Before JH Climate Ventures, he was Managing Director at Portland Seed Fund and has also been an angel investor with E8 Angels, an advisor at VertueLab, an investor with Oregon Angel Fund, and an adjunct professor at Portland State University. He studied at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and lives in Portland, Oregon.
