Hans Kobler

Hans Kobler is the Founder & Managing Partner at Energy Impact Partners, where he invests in companies enabling a global net-zero carbon economy. He invests across Seed, Early and Late Stage Venture, Growth, Private Equity, Credit, and Infrastructure, with activity in North America, Europe, and Asia. His sector focus spans energy, climate technology and sustainability, including power, energy storage, micro‑grids, energy asset management, clean molecules, industrial decarbonization, enterprise software, and cybersecurity. He has invested in companies such as Arcadia, Dragos, Form Energy, Electric Hydrogen, and Rondo Energy. Before Energy Impact Partners, he was Founder, Chairman & CEO of ICx Technologies; Founder & CEO of Digital Power Capital; Head of Energy Technology Investing at GE Capital; Chief Quality Officer at GE Equity; and a Consultant at Bain & Company. He also founded Tensor Technology Partners (Founder, Chairman & Managing Partner) and served as a Senior Advisor at Jenzabar. Hans graduated from INSEAD, The University of Texas at Austin, and the Technical University of Munich, and lives in Water Mill, New York.
