David Ulevitch

David Ulevitch is a General Partner at Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) where he focuses on American Dynamism. He invests across Seed through later-stage rounds (Seed, Venture Round, Series B–F) in the United States and the San Francisco Bay Area, with sector coverage including enterprise software, SaaS, national security, aerospace, public safety, logistics, security, and AI. He serves on the Board of Trustees at Washington University in St. Louis and previously served on the boards of Kentik and The Skatepark Project (formerly the Tony Hawk Foundation). He has invested in companies like Anduril, Skydio, Flock Safety, Superhuman, and Radiant. Before a16z, he was Senior Vice President/General Manager and Vice President/General Manager at Cisco; he was the CEO and Founder of OpenDNS (acquired by Cisco); and earlier held roles as Director of Network Operations at AdBrite, Founder of EveryDNS.Net, and Director of Operations at the California Community Colocation Project. David graduated from Washington University in St. Louis and lives in New York.
