Hui Tian

Hui Tian is a Partner at The Column Group, investing across Seed through late-stage venture rounds in the United States, including the San Francisco Bay Area, Massachusetts/New England, New York, and Texas. Focus areas include biotechnology and therapeutics, spanning drug discovery, oncology, immunotherapy, gene therapy, infectious and inflammatory disease, metabolic and cardiovascular disorders, and nervous system conditions/neurodegeneration. Hui has invested in companies such as NGM Biopharmaceuticals, Revolution Medicines, Arcus Biosciences, ORIC Pharmaceuticals, and Eikon Therapeutics. Previously, Hui was a Venture Partner at The Column Group and held research leadership roles at NGM Biopharmaceuticals (Director to Senior Vice President of Research), after earlier positions as Scientific Director at Amgen and Research Investigator at Tularik, following a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard University. Hui earned a degree from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and resides in San Mateo, California.
