Manuel E. Gonzalez is a General Partner at AgFunder where he invests in Pre-Seed to Series B startups across foodtech, agtech, biotech, and broader planet health. He invests globally, including the United States, Asia-Pacific (including Singapore and India), Africa (including South Africa), and Latin America. He serves on the advisory boards of AgFunder, ReGrained, and Sugarlogix, and has invested in companies like Brightseed, Mazen Animal Health, Aigen, Nobell Foods, and Bear Flag Robotics. Before AgFunder, he was Founder & Managing Partner at Global RIFF and held multiple leadership roles at Rabobank, including Global Head of B4F Start-up Innovation and North America Head of Start-up Innovation; he also founded FoodBytes! by Rabobank. Earlier roles include Managing Director and Country Head (Mexico) at Rabobank, VP Corporate Finance at Rabobank, Executive Board Member at Banco Finterra, Founder & CEO of Gonzalez Guzman Alimentos, and Co-Founder of Electrodiversiones de Jalisco. Manuel studied at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business and lives in the San Francisco Bay Area.
