Matthew Hammond

Matthew Hammond is a Partner at RA Capital Management, where he focuses on biotech and therapeutics across healthcare, life sciences, biotechnology, medical devices, diagnostics, and research tools. He invests across seed through Series C in both private and public companies, primarily in the United States with concentration in Massachusetts, Greater Boston, the East Coast, and New England. He serves on the boards of Jnana Therapeutics, Forge Biologics, Emergence Therapeutics, and DTx Pharma, and has invested in companies including Jnana Therapeutics, Forge Biologics, Emergence Therapeutics, DTx Pharma, Adcytherix, Rampart Bioscience, Cerebral Therapeutics, Kira Pharmaceuticals, Research Alliance Corp I, and Point Biopharma. Previously, he was Chief Financial Officer of Research Alliance Corp I and held roles at RA Capital Management including Principal, Analyst, and Associate/Senior Associate; earlier, he was a Postgraduate Fellow at Yale School of Medicine, a Graduate Research Fellow at UConn Health Center, and an ORISE Summer Research Fellow at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
