Fred Wilson

Fred Wilson is a Partner at Union Square Ventures where he invests at Seed, Series A, early stage, growth, and late stage across internet services, the applications layer of the web, web/mobile platforms with network effects, and crypto/Web3. USV raised approximately $429M across two funds in December 2018 (a $190.6M early-stage fund and a $238.2M opportunity/growth fund; 2019-vintage). He invests in companies across the United States and Europe, including hubs such as New York, San Francisco, London, and Berlin. He has invested in companies like Twitter, Twilio, Tumblr, Coinbase, and Etsy. Before USV, he was Managing Partner at Flatiron Partners and a General Partner (previously Associate) at Euclid Partners. Fred holds an SB in Mechanical Engineering from MIT and an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School, and lives in New York.
