Tim Porter

Tim Porter is a Managing Director at Madrona Venture Group where he invests across early-stage rounds (Seed through Series C) in B2B software, cloud infrastructure, data analytics and machine learning, DevOps/developer platforms, and cybersecurity. He primarily invests in the Pacific Northwest and across the United States. Madrona raised a $300 million fund in mid-2015. He has invested in companies like Smartsheet, Highspot, Heptio, ExtraHop Networks, and Apptio. Before Madrona, he held roles including Director, Corporate Development at Microsoft; Summer Associate at Goldman Sachs; and Director of Finance at both Teledesic and Eagle River Investments. Tim earned his MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business and lives in Seattle, United States of America.
