Carl Gordon

Carl Gordon is Managing Partner at OrbiMed Advisors, where he invests across seed and venture through Series A–D, growth, mature stage, and private equity in healthcare and life sciences, including biotechnology and pharmaceuticals with areas such as neuroscience, immunology, obesity, RNA-related drugs, gene editing, small molecules, protein drugs, orphan drugs, and gene therapy. He invests in companies in the United States and globally. OrbiMed recently raised almost $2 billion. He has invested in companies like Electra Therapeutics, Scribe Therapeutics, SpringWorks Therapeutics, Alector, and ADARx Pharmaceuticals. He is a Founding General Partner of OrbiMed and previously was a Biotechnology Analyst at Mehta and Isaly; earlier in his career he worked in computational biology at ImClone Systems and was a Postdoctoral Fellow at The Rockefeller University. He lives in New York City.
