Phil Wickham is Founder and General Partner; Managing Director at Sozo Ventures, where he invests across Seed through late stage and post-IPO, with focus areas including B2C, FinTech, Technology, SaaS, Social Media, Data Analytics, Blockchain, and Crypto. He invests across the United States (including California, the San Francisco Bay Area/Silicon Valley, Palo Alto, Redwood City, and Los Angeles), as well as Japan, Europe (including Germany, London, and Stockholm), Israel (HaMerkaz), and Canada (Montréal, Quebec). He serves on the board of Lotame and has invested in companies like Square, Twitter, Palantir, ServiceMax, and Lotame. Before Sozo Ventures, he was Executive Chairman, President and CEO Emeritus of the Center for Venture Education (Kauffman Fellows); Managing Director (ran U.S. operations) and Board Member at Copan; a Partner (previously Principal and Associate) at JAFCO America Ventures; and a Venture Partner at TL Ventures. Phil holds an MBA in Decision Sciences from RPI’s Lally School of Management and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Arizona, and he lives in Los Gatos, California.
