Steve Payne

Steve Payne is a Partner at Pegasus Tech Ventures, where he focuses on corporate venture capital and technology investments. He invests across Seed to Series C and early-stage venture, and has also participated in grant/prize funding. His sector focus spans artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, robotics, big data, virtual and augmented reality, quantum computing, fintech, health IT/healthcare, e-commerce, mobile apps, consumer electronics, automotive/auto tech, original design manufacturing, enterprise applications and infrastructure, gaming, hardware, semiconductors, digital media, and mobility. He invests globally across North America, Asia, and Europe, including the United States (California), Japan, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Canada, and Singapore. He has invested in companies such as DoorDash, Robinhood, Coinbase, Instacart, and Rigetti Computing. Previously, he was Co-founder and Partner at Architect Partners LLC; Managing Partner at Ignite Ventures; Board Advisor at NTT/Verio, Inc.; EVP of Product Development & Marketing at SegaSoft; VP of Product Development and Director of New Products at Sega of America; VP of Marketing at Tidemark; and a Senior Associate at Booz, Allen & Hamilton.
