David S.

David S. is an Advisory Partner at Greylock, where he focuses on consumer internet, social networking, media convergence, marketplaces, and games. He invests across stages from pre-seed to late stage and post-IPO equity, and has backed companies such as Facebook, Roblox, LinkedIn, Nextdoor, and Discord. He serves on the boards of Nextdoor (NYSE: KIND), Discord, and JubileeTV. Previously, he was a Partner and Senior Managing Partner at Greylock; SVP of Product Strategy at Excite/Excite@Home (and formerly GM of Excite.com and VP, Content & Programming for the Excite Network); worked in product marketing at Electronic Arts; product development at Crystal Dynamics; and management consulting at Marakon Associates and The Boston Consulting Group, following an early career role at HBO. David holds a BA from Yale University and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business, is based in the San Francisco Bay Area, and invests globally across the United States, China, Canada, Europe, and Australia.
