Sháka Rasheed is a General Partner and Head of Capital Development and Portfolio Value Creation at Open Opportunity Fund, where he invests in B2B software across Enterprise IT, Fintech, and People Ops with an emphasis on cloud, AI, and agentic systems. He invests across the United States with a focus on emerging tech hubs and is active at the Series C stage. He serves on the board of DigitalBridge (NYSE: DBRG) and has invested in companies like Brex, Cityblock Health, Esusu, QuickNode, and Squire. Before Open Opportunity Fund, he held senior roles at Salesforce (SVP, Strategic Banking & Wealth Management); Microsoft/M12 (Managing Director and General Manager – Capital Markets; Advisor); Bridgewater Associates (Head of Sales & Marketing); Lazard Asset Management (Managing Director, Head of Alternative Investments – Americas); Citadel (Acting Head, Americas / Director, Global Distribution); J.P. Morgan / J.P. Morgan Securities Inc. (Managing Director/Senior Client Advisor – Institutional Investment Management; Vice President/Banker – AWM – Private Banking; Associate – IBD, Equity Capital Markets); and Merrill Lynch & Company (Analyst – IBD, High Yield Finance Group).
