Arie Belldegrun, MD

Arie Belldegrun, MD is Founder and Sr. Managing Partner at Vida Ventures, LLC, where he invests in life sciences, biotechnology, and life science real estate. He focuses on companies in the United States and invests across stages from Seed and Series A through late-stage, post-IPO equity, private equity rounds, and debt financing. He serves on the boards of Allogene Therapeutics (Executive Chairman), Breakthrough Properties (Co-Chairman), ByHeart (Board of Directors), and UroGen Pharma (Chairman), and has invested in companies like Kite Pharma, Allogene Therapeutics, ReCode Therapeutics, Vigil Neuroscience, and Kronos Bio. Before Vida Ventures, he was Chairman & Partner at Two River, and Professor; Director, UCLA Institute of Urologic Oncology; and Doumani Chair in Urologic Oncology at UCLA Health System. He earned his medical degree from Hadassah Medical School and lives in Los Angeles, California. Vida Ventures’ most recent fundraise was in June 2021.
