Tim Layton

Tim Layton is a Partner and Founder at Sorenson Capital where he invests in private equity and growth equity across manufacturing, health care, technology, energy, retail, consumer products, industry consolidations, and business services. He invests across early stage through late stage and pre-IPO (including Series A and Series B) and backs companies across the United States (including Utah, California, and New England) and internationally in Europe, the United Kingdom, and MENA. He serves on the boards of Rural Physicians Group, Wilson Electronics, AccessData, Home Brands Group, and Imagine Learning, and has invested in companies like Rural Physicians Group, Wilson Electronics, AccessData, Home Brands Group, and Imagine Learning. Before Sorenson Capital, he was a Partner/Managing Director at Alpine Consolidated; earlier he served as CEO of Medeco Security Locks and Chairman at IDC - International Development Corp, Westinghouse, and was Mission President for the California Bakersfield Mission. Tim graduated from Brigham Young University and lives in Alpine, Utah.
