Libby Wayman is a Partner at Breakthrough Energy Ventures, where she invests in innovations that can address climate change across the United States, including the Washington DC Metro Area and the Southern US. She invests at Early, Venture, Series B, Series C, and Late Stage Venture, with sector focus areas that include Clean Energy, Climate Tech, Environmental Technologies, Manufacturing, Electricity, Agriculture, Transportation, Building, and Energy. She has invested in companies like Dandelion Energy and Natel Energy. Before Breakthrough Energy Ventures, she was a Lecturer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology; Global Director, Ecomagination at GE; Director, Clean Energy Manufacturing Initiative and Senior Advisor, Manufacturing at the U.S. Department of Energy; Head of Engineering Group and Technical Lead, Solar Cell R&D at Alion Energy; an R&D Engineer, PV Systems at SunPower; Co-Founder and Board Director at STG International / Promethean Power; and an Environmental Engineering Intern at Delphi.
