Hyung Chun is a Partner at Foresite Capital where he invests in seed through later-stage healthcare and life sciences companies across biotech, novel therapeutics, cellular therapies, autoimmune diseases, acute and chronic pain, and the technology–biotechnology intersection. He’s operating off a $900M fund raised in June 2024 and invests in companies in the United States. He serves on the board of Latigo Biotherapeutics, Inc., and has invested in companies like Indomo, Latigo Biotherapeutics, and Odyssey Therapeutics. Before Foresite, he held faculty roles at Yale School of Medicine (Associate Professor of Medicine and Pathology with tenure; Co-Director, Yale Cardiovascular Research Center; Assistant Professor; Adjunct Associate Professor) and Stanford University School of Medicine (Internal Medicine Resident; Cardiology Fellow; Chief Cardiology Fellow; Adjunct Professor), and was an HHMI/NIH Research Scholar at the National Institutes of Health. Hyung graduated from Harvard University (AB, Biochemical Sciences) and The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine (MD), and lives in New Haven, Connecticut.
