Michael Nicklas

Michael Nicklas is a Managing Partner at Valor Capital Group, LLC, where he invests in Latin American technology companies across sectors including Internet, Information Technology, Fintech, Edtech, Logistics, Digital platforms, Health and wealth, Marketplaces, and Transportation. He invests from Seed through Growth (Seed, Series A–C, Early and Late Stage Venture, Growth Equity, Convertible Notes) across Latin America and the United States, including Brazil, Mexico, Rio de Janeiro, New York, and broader South America. His firm raised $56.8 million in April 2018. He has invested in companies such as Agrolend, XP Health, Arado, Parfin, and BHub. Before Valor, he was Managing Director at Ideiasnet and at SocialSmart Ventures, Partner at Thirst, Inc., investor in EngageMe, CTO at The Shooting Gallery and at Univision Online Group, President of The Gryphon Group, and a digital media/video expert at Showtime Networks and MPC. Michael studied at American University and Universidade de Coimbra and lives in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
