Brian Garrett

Brian Garrett is a Co-Founder and Managing Director at Crosscut Ventures where he invests in frontier technologies (space, defense, energy transition, climate, advanced manufacturing, robotics, and supply chain near-shoring). He invests at pre-seed and seed stages, and has participated in Seed through Series C and venture rounds across the USA, with a focus on the Greater Los Angeles Area and the West Coast. He has invested in companies like Umbra, BuildOps, Pearl, HiveWatch, and Carbon Ridge. Before Crosscut Ventures, he was a Partner at Palomar Ventures; earlier he was Director of Business Development at Niku Corporation and a Consultant at R.B. Webber & Company, and he has served as an Adjunct Lecturer of Communication at the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. Brian holds degrees from Stanford University and Stanford Graduate School of Business, and lives in Los Angeles, California.
