Aileen Lee

Aileen Lee is the Founder and Managing Partner at Cowboy Ventures, where she invests in early-stage B2B and B2C technology startups. She invests primarily in the United States—especially the San Francisco Bay Area and Silicon Valley—focusing on pre-seed and seed stages with follow-on at later stages. Cowboy Ventures raised a $95 million fund in August 2018. She serves on the board of All Raise and has invested in companies including Dollar Shave Club, Guild Education, Crunchbase, DocSend, and Textio. Previously, she held roles from Associate through Senior Partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers; was the Founding CEO of RMG Networks; worked as an M&A Analyst at Morgan Stanley; and held business development and strategy, special assistant to the CEO, and brand and product marketing roles at Gap Inc. Aileen graduated from Harvard Business School and MIT, and lives in Palo Alto, California.
