Lu Zhang is the Founder and Managing Partner at Fusion Fund where she invests across AI in healthcare, enterprise AI/networks, edge computing, and data privacy. She backs companies from pre-seed through later stages (Pre-Seed to Series D), primarily in the United States with a focus on the San Francisco Bay Area/Silicon Valley. Fusion Fund announced a fundraise in March 2025. She serves on the boards of CommonSpirit Health Philanthropy, vCluster, and Therna Biosciences (observer), and has invested in companies like Vectara, Otter.ai, and Voyage AI. Before Fusion Fund, she was a serial entrepreneur and materials science researcher. Lu graduated from Stanford University and lives in Palo Alto, California.
