General Catalyst raised $8 billion in 2025. He serves on the boards of Moonvalley, Applied Intuition, Crescendo, Gusto, and Grammarly, and has invested in companies like Stripe, Samsara, Snap, GitLab, and Canva. Previously, he was a Managing Director at General Catalyst and was the Founder and Executive Chairman of Commure, the Health Assurance Transformation Company (HATCo), and Percepta. Hemant studied at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and lives in Palo Alto, California.
