Jim Adler

Jim Adler is Founder & General Partner at Toyota Ventures where he invests from Pre-Seed through Series B across sectors including Artificial Intelligence, Autonomy, Mobility, Robotics, Cloud Technology, Smart Cities, Digital Health, Fintech, Materials, Energy, and Climate Technologies (including carbon neutrality, renewable energy, hydrogen solutions, carbon capture, EV solutions, and energy storage). Toyota Ventures raised $300 million in June 2021, and he invests globally, including the United States (San Francisco Bay Area), Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. He serves on the boards of Revel, Moodify, Intuition Robotics, and SLAMcore Limited, and is a board observer at Joby Aviation, and has invested in companies like Joby Aviation, Intuition Robotics, Burro, eZinc, and Stoke Space. Before Toyota Ventures, he held roles including Vice President; Director, Data & Business Development; and Executive Advisor at Toyota Research Institute; Investment Committee Member at JetBlue Ventures; Board Member at Toyota Financial Savings Bank; Member of the Data Privacy and Integrity Advisory Committee at the US Department of Homeland Security; Product and Marketing leader at Microsoft (via the acquisition of Metanautix); VP of Data Systems and Chief Privacy Officer at Intelius; and Founder and CEO of VoteHere. Jim studied at the University of Florida and UC San Diego and lives in San Francisco, California.
