James Currier is a General Partner at NFX where he invests in pre-seed through Series B startups across technology with a focus on network effects, as well as synthetic biology and fintech. He typically invests $1M–$3M and focuses on the United States and Israel. NFX raised a $275 million fund in April 2019. He serves on the board of Linden Lab and has invested in companies like Change.org, Mammoth Bio Sciences, Health Gorilla, Nuvocargo, and Candex. Previously, he was Co-Founder and Chairman of Jiff Inc.; CEO & Co-Founder of Ooga Labs; Co-Founder and CEO of WonderHill; Founder and CEO of Tickle; and held roles at Battery Ventures, STAR TV, and GTE. James graduated from Harvard Business School and lives in Palo Alto, California.
